NAUGHTY NEIGHBOURS was launched in 1995, and has usually received a Category 1, and occasionally Category 2 rating from the Classification Board.

Previously, three other issues were Refused Classification in 1999/2000.

 

 

NAUGHTY NEIGHBOURS - September 2015: Banned

In August 2015, a 100-page edition of NAUGHTY NEIGHBOURS - SPECIAL 20TH ANNIVERSARY ISSUE (September 2015) was banned by the Classification Board. The reason given was:

Pubs 1(a)&(b) The publication is classified RC in accordance with the National Classification Code, Publications Table, 1.
(a) as publications that "describe, depict, express or otherwise deal with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty, violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified," and
(b) "describe or depict in a way that is likely to cause offence to a reasonable adult, a person who is, or appears to be, a child under 18 (whether the person is engaged in sexual activity or not)."

The applicant was AC Circulation Pty Ltd.

NAUGHTY NEIGHBOURS - September 2016: Banned

In August 2016, a 100-page edition of NAUGHTY NEIGHBOURS VOL.22 NO.5 - SEPTEMBER 2016 was passed with a Category 1 rating.

The following month saw the same issue banned by the Classification Board. Here the submission was listed as a 'serial classification'. No reason was given for the RC-rating.

The applicant was AC Circulation Pty Ltd.

The hardcore content of NEW CLIMAX has ensured that all issues have been rated Category 2 or above.

NEW CLIMAX #4 is the earliest edition that the Classification Board list in their database. This was rated Category 2 in May 2003.

 

 

NEW CLIMAX #6: Banned

In June 2004, a 100-page edition of NEWS CLIMAX #6 (March 2004) was banned by the Classification Board. Claredale Distributors was the applicant.

 

 

NEW CLIMAX #16: Banned

In October 2009, a 100-page edition of NEWS CLIMAX #16 was banned by the Classification Board. Claredale Distributors was the applicant.
