Demon Wet Nurse, The
aka Madame Fung Shen's Lover

First submitted by Yu Enterprises in August 1992 in a 35mm print running 99min. It was banned by the censors. An 95min cut version was prepared and was finally passed for public exhibition with an R18+ (High Level Sex Scenes) in October 1992. On the same day VN Video International were awarded an R18+ for the sale and hire of the film.
The censored film went on to play in Raymond Yu's Australia Cinema in Sydney, and no doubt in other Chinese language cinemas around the country.
The 1992 Hong Kong VHS on the Universe Laser and Video label seems to be uncut with a PAL running time of 94m 56s. For the majority of the running time the film is made up of a series of soft-core sex scenes that would definitely not have troubled our censor. However, just before the end credits there is an approximately four minute scene that would seem to have been the cause of the problem. Here Wei Jung Quien has Qua Ar Sau tied up, before he proceeds to rape her. The film was cut by approximately four minutes for the R18+ rating, so it would seem that this scene was probably removed.
It's worth noting that the on-screen title is MADAME FUNG SHEN'S LOVER, whilst the tape packaging lists it as THE DEMON WET NURSE.
